Health care inequities and homelessness in the city of Napa will be closely studied by a five-member team from Napa County Health and Human Services and other community partners, thanks to a $60,000 grant from the Reinvestment Fund and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The grant is part of the foundation’s new Invest Health Initiative, which aims to help low-income communities through affordable housing, quality jobs and places to play and exercise. The multi-faceted team from Napa was one of 50 groups selected out of more than 180 teams from around the country to receive the grant.
The Napa team includes: Lark Ferrell, city of Napa housing manager; Jennifer Palmer, Napa County Health and Human Services Agency, Public Health Division, Live Healthy Napa County analyst; Aubra Levine, Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA), associate director of Housing Development; ∙ Danielle Wildkress, Corporation for Supportive Housing, associate director, and Salvador Nunez, Queen of the Valley CARE Network, lead social worker.
