The Invest Health program principles are the fundamental tenets of the initiative’s goals and lessons learned.
Each principle represents a key component of the program and is reflective of the health and equity-focus of the cities’ approach to community development. Given the evolving nature of the program, these principles were not all firmly established at Invest Health’s inception, but have been discovered, augmented, and refined throughout the course of this learning lab. The program principles are built upon the Invest Health evaluation and the initiative’s Theory of Change, a framework created to facilitate effective programmatic design.
